I'm pleased to be able to say that this matte charcoal paint was readily available for purchase.. Our Gateway smoker lid had rust on it because the previous owner had a leak on the top of the vinyl protective barrel cover. We sanded off the rust, cleaned the lid with water mixed with baking soda, and dried it thoroughly before painting. The paint sprayed on very well and matches the original just right.
